Just a passing thought.
So I was in a bus on my way to cici Odi (one of my cousins)’s house. It was number 54, if I’m not mistaken. I was sitting at the front, and there was enough place for everybody to sit.
Then suddenly a boy–I assume he’s 12 or 13–came in with a little girl behind him. 4 or 5 years old, I guess. Yes, they are pengamen. So then the boy started singing a song by the Rock (yeah, the one that goes ‘malam ini ku sendiri lalalala..’). It’s not the way he sang that captured my attention coz believe me, it was horrible. Just like Simon Cowell always says in American Idol.
It was the little girl. She came into the bus with an ukulele, and when she started playing, I just couldn’t stop staring at her. She was damn good! I mean, her innocent look and the way she held the ukulele assured me that she wouldn’t play in the right way. But she didn’t miss a tune–yes she was fantastic, both with the ukulele and the singing. She sang much better than the boy, and for that age, I must say she’s unbelievable.
So I’m just wondering. There must be a lot more kids like her on the streets, singing and playing music to get some money–which then has to be given to their parents or anyone who ‘keeps’ them. Would their lives ever change? They sure got talents. What they don’t have is chance, and I feel really bad for them.
Sometimes when the angelic side in me pops out, I have this thought about planning something ‘big’, something to do with those talented kids spread around the big city streets, to make their lives better. But I just don’t know how.
Well, let’s just start with a pray. Will you pray too?
Stressed Out.
Beberapa minggu ini gatau kenapa perasaan gue lagi ga enak banget. Stress gitu bawaan gue, marah maraaah mulu kalo di rumah. Dan gue jadi gampang banget nangis, gatau deh 2 minggu ini gue nangis udah berapa kali. Gue lagi pengeeenn banget nelfon Ellen, cabut bertiga sama Fty (I have no idea why but these two names are the ones that came up first), smoke some cigarettes–just like high school, and have a couple of drinks. Hhh.
